It is kind of crazy that we are in 2026 and people are still squeezing more life out of GTA V, but that is where we are right now with NaturalVision. If you have spent any time modding, you already know the name NaturalVision Evolved, and you probably also care about making your world look good enough that grinding for GTA 5 Money feels like you are actually hanging out in a real city. The latest New Year update lands like a proper refresh rather than a tiny tweak, and once you boot it up you can see straight away that Los Santos does not look like a 2013 game anymore.
Atmosphere And Weather Overhaul
The headline change is the sky and general mood of the map. Volumetric clouds, which used to be a fancy extra for the Evolved crowd, now show up in the Enhanced version too and instantly make the skyline feel deeper and less flat. There is even an experimental Cloudy preset that shifts the whole vibe on days that used to look kind of boring. You jump into Extrasunny or Clear and the light looks less gamey and more like late afternoon in a coastal city, with softer shadows and highlights that do not burn your eyes. Drive down the freeway at sunset and you will notice the colours roll across the buildings instead of just slapping an orange filter on top.
Rain That Finally Feels Right
Rain is where a lot of open world games fall apart, but this update tries to fix that in a pretty direct way. In the Evolved build you can actually see raindrops hitting cars, guns and other surfaces, and when you go into first person it is hard not to stare at how the water runs over the weapon model. The droplets on the camera react to your speed now, so when you floor it the streaks pull across the lens instead of just wobbling around. Puddles look better too, because the screen space reflections got reworked and the ground has more depth to it, not just some shiny mirror effect slapped onto the asphalt.
Lighter Version For Weaker Rigs
Of course not everybody has a monster PC sitting under the desk, and that is where NaturalVision Lite comes in. This version is built for players who want a cleaner image and nicer lighting but can not or do not want to run a heavy ReShade stack all the time. It works in single player and on FiveM, which is a big deal if most of your time is spent on RP servers where you just want decent frames. You lose some of the really intense visual tricks, but you keep the overall look, so the city still feels upgraded without your fans sounding like a jet engine.
Holiday Touches And Tech Work
If you are still in a festive mood, the updated Christmas Content Pack drops decorations all over the place, from Koreatown to Mirror Park and right out to Vespucci Beach, so driving around at night feels like cruising through a holiday event. Behind the scenes the team cleaned up a bunch of annoying issues, like glitches tied to the Glare Shader and Volumetric Fog, and tightened security with more encryption to stop people ripping the work. Looking at the 2026 roadmap, they are digging into DX12 shader reversing and building better internal tools, which should mean faster updates and better performance down the line. If you are still putting hours into GTA V and want the game to feel fresh while you grind or just mess around with friends, it is hard to ignore this update and it pairs nicely with whatever way you prefer to buy GTA 5 Money.
